MedStar Sports Medicine along with MedStar NRH Rehabilitation Network is proud to announce their partnership with Gambrills, Maryland based Athletic Performance Inc. (API), Maryland’s premier athletic campus.

GAMBRILS, MD – MARCH 16, 2017 – MedStar Sports Medicine along with MedStar NRH Rehabilitation Network is proud to announce their partnership with Gambrills, Maryland based Athletic Performance Inc. (API), Maryland’s premier athletic campus. MedStar is the official medical team of the new Washington, D.C. Arena Football League Team, the Washington Valor. API will serve as the training facility for the Valor. Together, this exciting new partnership will provide expanded sports medicine services and training to the team. In addition, the entities will also provide sports medicine and physical therapy to local high school athletes and weekend warriors.

The full service rehabilitation site, which will be open Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 8 p.m., will serve residents and those in the Gambrills, Maryland community. The new MedStar NRH Rehabilitation Network/MedStar Sports Medicine center opened officially to the public on March 8.

About Athletic Performance, Inc. (API)

Founded in 2004 exclusively a Sports Performance training program, API opened the doors to its first training facility in Millersville, MD during the fall of 2005. The support of the surrounding communities provided API the opportunity for expansion in 2008 and most recently 2011 to the company’s current location in Gambrills, MD. The MedStar National Rehabilitation Network is a regional system of rehabilitation care that offers inpatient, day treatment and outpatient services in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Northern Virginia and Delaware.

Inpatient and day treatment programs are provided at MedStar National Rehabilitation Hospital located in Northwest Washington, D.C., and at more than 50 outpatient sites conveniently located throughout D.C., Baltimore, and all of Maryland, Northern Virginia, & Delaware.  MedStar National Rehabilitation Network is fully accredited by The Joint Commission,  the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), with CARF accredited specialty programs for Amputations, Brain Injury, Spinal Cord Injury and Stroke.
