The Stroke Recovery Program

The MedStar NRH Stroke Recovery Program offers comprehensive inpatient, day treatment and outpatient care components—offering top quality services from onset of illness or injury through a successful transition to home, community and employment.

We offer advanced rehabilitation medicine and technology and have ongoing research that continues to enhance our knowledge about stroke recovery.

Our goal is for stroke survivors to lead fulfilling lives and continue to be active in their families and communities.  At MedStar NRH, we focus on the whole person, helping individuals meet the challenges they potentially face medically, physically and socially.

Patients in our Stroke Recovery Program benefit from our role as a teaching facility and access to new medical and therapeutic interventions.  The Stroke Recovery Program is accredited by the Joint Commission and the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) in line with our constant goal to provide the highest standard of care.
