Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation
The inpatient program for spinal cord injury and illness is fully accredited by CARF—the national credentialing organization for rehabilitation services. That means it meet strict criteria for top quality care, focused on patients’ medical needs, therapy, and education for the patient and their caregivers.
Our day program is a transitional service available for medically stable people who no longer require around-the-clock nursing care, but who can benefit from intensive therapy to reach their full functional abilities.
The full continuum of services for spinal cord injury includes a range of outpatient therapies offered at MedStar NRH Network centers in communities throughout the region.
MedStar NRH is dedicated to making it possible for individuals of all abilities to lead active, healthy, and fulfilling lifestyles. Participation in sports and fitness despite mobility obstacles is a great way to help and make that possible.
