Today’s challenges, tomorrow’s technology

Advanced education in injury and disabling illness

We place a high value on education and the transfer of knowledge to new generations of doctors. Our residency program is an ACGME-accredited program that prepares residents for both clinical and academic work.

Relationships with affiliated facilities

Our professional associations, such as with the Georgetown University Department of Rehabilitation Medicine as well as the internal collaboration between our clinical and research staff, mean that patients have access to state-of-the-art technology and cutting-edge treatments.

Our locations

Inpatient and day treatment programs are provided at and located in Northwest Washington, D.C., and at more than 50 outpatient sites conveniently located throughout D.C., Baltimore, and all of Maryland and Northern Virginia.

New rehabilitation interventions and clinical trial opportunities

Because our clinical and research staff are located under the same roof, best practices are established and translated through to our delivery of patient care immediately. Patients are welcome to participate in clinical trials before they are offered to the public and have access to the technology developed by our research team.

For instance, our ZeroG® Gait and Balance Training system was invented by our team of researchers at MedStar NRH. Advances like this are available to our patients before they are released to rehabilitation facilities across the country.
