Welcome to physical therapy at Bel Air — Orthopedic and Sports Center

You can find our physical therapy clinic under the same roof as MedStar Health’s renowned orthopedic surgeons and sports medicine specialists. Located in the newly completed MedStar Health Bel Air Medical Campus, our clinic offers a wide variety of services, including the treatment of orthopedic and sports-related injuries and conditions. We offer sports injury rehabilitation, emphasizing early intervention and training regimens to promote safe performance and prevent injury or re-injury.

Monday: 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Tuesday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Thursday: 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Friday: 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  • Alpa Buege, PT, DPT, AIB-VR, Clinic Director

    Alpa Buege received her bachelor's degree in Kinesiological Sciences from the University of Maryland, College Park. She went on to complete her doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland School of Medicine, Baltimore. Alpa is certified in Vestibular Rehabilitation. Alpa’s rehabilitation specialties include:

  • Christopher Palmer, Clinic Coordinator

    Christopher Palmer attended Towson University, where he received his bachelor’s degree. He also completed his doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore. Chris specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

  • Rebecca Arturo, PT, DPT, CSCS

    Rebecca Arturo received her bachelor's degree in biology from Westminster College. She went on to complete her doctoral degree in physical therapy from Duquesne University. Becky is a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS). Becky's rehabilitation specialties include:

  • Susan Dumler, OTR/L

    Susan Dumler completed her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Towson University. Susan is a certified hand therapist (CHT) and certified upper-extremity lymphedema specialist (CLT-UE). She is an expert in the following rehabilitation areas:

  • Matthew Falter, PTA

    Matt received his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from Salisbury University and Associate’s degree in Physical Therapist Assistant from Carroll Community College. He is also a certified personal trainer as of 2021. Matt enjoys working with all patient demographics, but his favorite are athletes and post-op. In his free time, Matt likes to stay active outdoors, workout, and play softball and golf.

    Stacy Goldstein received her bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy from Towson University. Stacy is a certified hand therapist (CHT) and certified lymphedema specialist (CLT). Her rehabilitation specialties include:

    Sarah Harrison attended Ithaca College where she received her B.S. and M.S. in Clinical Science/Physical Therapy. She earned a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Temple University. She is certified by the State of Maryland to perform dry needling and is board certified by the APTA as an orthopedic clinical specialist. Sarah specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

  • Stacey C Lumpkin, OTR/L, CLT

    Stacey Lumpkin received her bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from Towson University. Stacey is a practicing Occupational Therapist and Certified Lymphedema Specialist (CLT) treating both upper and lower extremities. She completed a specialty certification in lymphatic studies through Klose training, utilizing the Vodder method. Stacey specializes in:

    Bryan Merlock attended the University of Maryland, College Park where he received his bachelor's degree, and received his doctoral degree in physical therapy from the University of St. Augustine in Florida. Bryan specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:

  • Andrea (Andi) Miller, OT/L

    Samantha Boyce received her bachelor's degree in Health Sciences and her doctoral degree in physical therapy from Lebanon Valley College. Samantha has a special interest in sports injury rehabilitation and ACL injury prevention. Samantha specializes in:

    Blake Patterson completed her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science at Virgina Commonwealth University (VCU), and then earned her doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from Nova Southeastern University. Blake is currently studying to take the certified hand therapy (CHT) certification exam. Blake specializes in the following rehabilitation areas:
