Insurance verification for inpatient services
Because insurance coverage for in-patient rehabilitation varies among policies, our inpatient Admissions Office staff will work with the patient, family and insurance carrier to obtain the necessary coverage information, verification and authorization of benefits. MedStar NRH accepts most major health insurers represented in the Baltimore-Washington metropolitan area.
Any financial obligation for the patient and family will be discussed prior to admissions. For example, Vocational Rehabilitation, Home Site Assessment by a Rehabilitation Engineer, and Driver's Evaluation and Training services are available, but not always covered by insurance.
Our Admissions Office is available to assist you with questions pertaining to insurance coverage or other financial obligations related to an inpatient admission.
Please call 202-877-1152.
Admissions covered by Workers Compensation insurance
MedStar NRH welcomes patients who are covered by workers compensation insurance. Our Admissions Office staff will assist with the referral and admissions process.
After the admission process is complete and the patient has undergone evaluations by each member of the team, a multi-disciplinary summary will be faxed to the case manager. MedStar NRH will make every attempt to promptly address specific questions asked by the case managers at any point during the admission.
