Michael Wroten, MD, is an attending physician at MedStar National Rehabilitation Network providing comprehensive care for patients with disabling illness and injury. Dr. Wroten is a graduate of the University of Maryland, School of Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at MedStar NRH/MedStar Georgetown Universisty Hospital and served as Chief Resident.
During his training, Dr. Wroten was actively involved in improving quality of care and patient safety, as well as improving electronic medical record keeping. He made a number of poster and podium presentations at national medical meetings, and completed the national workshop, Academy of Emerging Leaders in Patient Safety.
His clinical interests include general and neuro rehabilitation as well as rural medicine, telemedicine, interdisciplinary leadership and quality Improvement. He provides comprehensive rehabilitative services for patients working closely with the entire rehabilitation team to assess patients and to develop a treatment plan that promotes the fullest possible recovery.
