Actress/Singer, Ali Stroker, from the hit Fox TV series, ‘Glee,’ and Broadway musical, ‘Spring Awakening,’ visited with Spinal Cord Injury and Pediatric patients at MedStar NRH. Ms. Stroker visited as a patient ambassador for Wellspect HealthCare and LoFric® catheters.

Washington, DC – March 23, 2016 – Actress/Singer, Ali Stroker, from the hit Fox TV series, ‘Glee,’ and Broadway musical, ‘Spring Awakening,’ visited with Spinal Cord Injury and Pediatric patients at MedStar NRH. Ms. Stroker visited as a patient ambassador for Wellspect HealthCare and LoFric® catheters.
During her visit, Ms. Stroker spoke about her success in the entertainment industry; including being the first ever Broadway performer to use a wheelchair in a Broadway musical, ‘Spring Awakening.’ She was also the first person in a wheelchair to graduate from Tisch’s drama program at New York University.
Along with her accomplishments, Ms. Stroker was also able to connect with SCI and Pediatric patients by sharing the challenges she faces being disabled and living in New York City. She is an inspiration to all of us, and proves that with determination and perseverance, no dream or goal is unattainable.
