Weather Update:
- Snow is reported to fall until 4 p.m., accumulating between 3-6 inches in the Washington, D.C./Baltimore Area.
- From 4 – 6 p.m., the precipitation will change to a snow/sleet mixture.
- From 8-10 p.m., the mixture will change into mostly freezing rain.
- Overnight – Freezing rain will change into rain with temperatures above freezing.
During tomorrow morning’s commute, please allow yourself extra time as roads and sidewalks will remain slippery.
Outpatient Network Update:
The Hollywood, Waldorf and Waldorf-Pembrooke Square sites have all closed for today due to more than expected snow accumulation.
Depending on the location, outpatient services will close early due to snow/freezing rain mixture. Please contact your supervisor for information at your location.
Inpatient Update:
Nurses and all other clinical support Team Members scheduled for 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. shifts should start making their way to work NOW. Road conditions are expected to get worse as the day continues, so please be cautious when commuting.
Cots will be available for Team Members that are unable to make it back home. Please check-in to the nursing office to discuss your sleeping arrangements. All cots, blow-up mattresses, and sheets will need to be accounted for after use.
A meal will also be provided for all Team Members that sleep overnight or stay past their shift due to the weather.
Transportation:
Metrobus is running a SEVERE snow service plan. Service limited to major corridors only, with detours. Visit: www.wmata.com/snow/severe
